The Zahnriemen belt is an aftermarket one and not OE as it doeesnt have an OE part number just the aftermarket equivalent number so cheaper but will it last. The special tools needed are to lock the flywheel in place and camshaft timing pins when fitting the belt AFAIK.
Roadrunner23. A poor battery is known to throw up all sorts of warning lights and messages on the S Type. Get a new battery and go from there. I used to have a 2005 2.7D which lost both turbo's

Posted December 31, 2015. Hi Simore, and welcome to the club. S Types are very finicky concerning batteries, and having had to reset the radio code indicated that the battery could be not properly connected. Try checking that out and look at the terminals of the battery. Peter.

There was a recent try survey and the two makes that came out on top were Goodyear Eagle XL and Vredestein.

So unstick your mind from buying only Jaguar parts, you don't need them. PS: Search on eBay for "jaguar S Type 2.7 diesel injector".
