To prevent the rotor turning, place a bar in the rotor vent and let it butt up against the caliper. That will stop it turning when you try to undo the set screw. The rotor size that was used with the 17z setup was 330mm both 330 and M use a 325mm front rotor so fitment wise it should be ok, but im sure I will still need a bracket to adapt it to the e46 hub. I saw that eyptec had some adaptors but im not sure that they will work.

TerraPhantm. 1952 posts 路 Joined 2004. #3 路 Nov 10, 2010. If you had a 330, the motorsport rotors that BMW has (and is selling rather cheap these days) would definitely be the best choice. With a 325 I'd just go with stoptech, brembo, or zimmerman (OEM). Whichever one you can get the cheapest.

E46 323i/325i/328i/330i: the E46 has more room for wider wheels than the previous E36. For the Spec E46 series we use a 9.0" wheel on the front and rear and they clear without issues. E36 M3 front caliper pistons (60mm diameter) are too large for an E46 330i front caliper, which has 57mm pistons. I don't know the size of E46 M3 pistons, but they're probably at least as big as the E36 M3 pistons.
